What do you do with pretty vintage pillowcases?
One of my favorite sellers on Etsy, SoSoRosey, makes sweet little bowls.
And a couple of posts back, I showed a rug that I made with a cut-up sheet and a cut-up "not-so-pretty" vintage pillowcase. (It's the pale blue-green stripe.)
Of course, you can just use it as a pillowcase, but some are way too pretty to hide under the covers.
This is what I did with a vintage 60s or 70s pillowcase. It was a long one, so I was able to make 2 pieces - my little one loves it! The shorts are low-rise, but that kind of goes with the 70s theme anyway!
I'll post some more projects later in the week! In the meantime . . . what have you made out of a vintage pillowcase?

Ooh, thank you, thank you for sharing my bowl here! I absolutely love your rug, and that short set is the cutest thing EVER!
ReplyDeleteThat is just adorable - I made a dress for my 6 year old granddaughter! They are fun - have lots more, just cannot find the time! I love the trim you used on that set too!
ReplyDeleteSo so cute! Adorable trim too!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I remember that orange & yellow pillowcase in my sister's room :-) Cute dress! Just checked out SoSo Rosey... a new favorite seller.
